Are you thinking of me when you’re putting on your makeup, darling, and dyeing your hair like you do?
Well you’re wasting your time if you’re trying to impress me,
I waste all my time just thinking of you
(via nonstop-feelings)
Literally me every time I walk outside.

Last night my dad gave me some very important advice that I feel obligated to share with aspiring artists since we all share this common fear. He brought me back to earth by reminding me not to spend my time focusing on what I’m going to do after my dancing career when it hasn’t even started yet (let alone ended). How are you going to launch and live your career when your mind is set on surpassing it. It doesn’t matter where you go, where you study, or the name brand of your school as long as wherever you are you’ve thrown yourself all in. If you’re going to stay where you are stay there completely, if you’re going to move on move. By the time your artistic career is over (if it ends) the classes you took in school when you were 17, 18, 19 years old won’t be fresh in your mind anyways and won’t define you through the endless years of change and life experience to come. When and if you go to seek a new profession they will be judging you on the career you’ve already had not the university you went to 20 years ago. If you’re feeling stuck weigh the pros and cons, make a list, nothing is real until it’s on paper. Keep names of people off the list for people come and go and know that no matter where you go or what you do with your passion there are no wrong choices.
